There is a little preamble here so please indulge me, then we'll get down to business.
The largest responsibility with Overland Bound has is to support the OLB community and do everything we can so OLB realizes its maximum potential. We really have something special here. You've created it!
To that end, we pour our resources and limited bandwidth toward supporting the needs of the community. Regional member groups and meetups have been a huge demand from the community over the last few months, and we have been working to support that in many ways. Members want to visit, explore, learn, and have fun with other local members.
Earlier this year @fj80toyman planned a fantastic trip to the Mojave Road, and trips and meetups have continued to snowball. Through that process, we learned a lot about the requirements of planning a trip of that type, and we have seen other local coffee get togethers and meetups and felt the community needs a simple tool for creating an event or trip, provide all essential details, and easily share that information not only here, but wherever they want. That tool is almost ready, and we need your help!
Many thanks to Benefactors, Members, and Supporters who have funded the development of this tool and made it free for all Members to use.

Introducing Overland Rally Point

The features are specific for folks planning overland events or trips, on or off the grid. We will continue to develop ORP as the community uses it, and provides feedback.
Once the details are filled in, ORP publishes a trip announcement Page you can share via e-mail, facebook, or any other social media, and automatically creates a forum thread in the Meetups section of the forums to track the conversation.
Current Features:

Before we go live, we need to test the software! You will find bugs, and you will want features! This is v.9 and we will be fixing and adding to ORP over time. Here is what to do:
