My Bella, ACD/Labrador mix, crossed the Rainbow Bridge in August. It's almost no fun exploring without her and I can't bear to wipe the windows, as the nose markings remind me of her. I figured there should be a memorial thread to our overland furbabies that have crossed the bridge...

Jettie-Man. He was an OG adventure dog. Gone but never forgotten. His collar hangs from the truck rear view mirror and rides with us everywhere we go.

tears in my eyes now.
But, same as I think about humans, I think about pets as well.
As long as they are alive and kicking in our memories, they are alive, and they will live forever as long as we remember them.
And believe me, a part of the spirit of my first dog was back in the eyes of my dog now.
And as I hug my dog, I feel at the same time all the love Ive got from my first dog right next to him.

This thread saddens me like you can't believe, lost Sylvie who was my constant companion/best friend of 13 years two months ago and now hope to adopt another buddy tomorrow.

Kent-I’m so sorry for your loss, I know what you’re going through. I’m glad to hear you’re ready to rescue another. Our fur babies live on in our hearts and memories, and sometimes seem to appear again in another fur baby.

My thoughts to all of you, and I really hope you will find the new best friend. He will be able to wipe your tears away and bring back laughter.

When we had to say goodbye to Jet, and I was the one that had to make the call to send him over the Rainbow Bridge, it was probably the hardest thing I've ever done in my life. My Wife and I were certain at that point we could never, ever have another dog in our lives. That the hardship was just too much to bear. A month later, I realized how simply selfish that was, that we owe it to the dogs out there to bring another into our loving home. A month after that we rescued Molly, a deaf border collie husky mix from our local SPCA. That was 4 years ago. A year and half ago, we brought another dog, Ichabod the Catahoula, into our home as a companion and to be Molly's Sheepdog. A house without a dog, is well.......
