So Overland East will be my first event that I'm attending with the Overland community, and I couldn't be more excited!

In the past when I was really big into the VW scene for a couple of decades, events and car shows we're always looked forward to as you knew you were going to be tempted with a lot of cool product, right in your face, ready to be purchased!

So, I'm curious, what are some of the things that others are looking forward to being able to purchase at Overland East? It definitely appears that a lot of vendors sell goods at the event.

Personally, I'm looking forward to potentially purchasing a Tembo Tusk skottle, Maxtrax, and possibly some Blue Ridge Overland Gear items.

I bought a fridge last year but there isn't anything on my radar for this year. I look forward to Expo because from the moment I buy my ticket it forces me to get going on unfinished projects.

What fridge did you end up going with?

And I hear ya on the unfinished projects-definitely does the same thing to me!

By the way....you're Subaru is awesome. I wouldn't mind having one as my second vehicle.

Thank you very much! Even after all the changes it's still quiet and rides nice. Having a foot of ground clearance while still getting 25mpg is another redeeming quality.

I went with a Dometic CFX40W. Its presently keeping beer cold in my basement haha.

A Subaru with 12" of ground clearance, 25mpg, and a fridge in the back with cold beer! Can't beat that!

Low range and I'd be set haha. You have a nice Jeep build going as well! I look forward to hopefully meeting you and seeing it in person in NC.

Thank you! I think that's the thing I look forward to more than anything else-meeting other forum members and seeing what they've done to their vehicles. Only been a member here for about a month or so but this is a great community!

Not to steer too far away from the original post:).....what other things are people excited to check out and maybe purchase at OE?

As a newbie myself, I’m excited to see all the options mostly. Also, there are a couple of trailers I’d like to compare in person (Hiker being one of them).

I’ve been looking at their trailers since you mentioned it last week. Definitely some very cool stuff! Bring your checkbook[emoji16]

I am. I seriously considered not but ended up going with it. I’m not doing nearly the number of classes I did last year though because it was just too busy haha.
