In this day and age, I think “Leave it better than you found it” is crucial. I can’t tell you how many places I’ve explored where someone has either left trash or defaced something. The only way to keep our back country and public lands open for exploration is to treat it with respect, so I’m glad that Overland Bound puts this at the forefront of our principles.
