SINCE I WAS GIVEN MY 4RUNNER UPON ENTERING THE MILITARY FROM A FAMILY MEMBER. IVE ALWAYS WANT TO GET OUT. OUT OF THE CITY. OFF THE PAVED ROADS. INTO THE WILD. I GREW UP GOING TO THE SIERRAS IN THIS EXACT TRUCK AND TOLD MY UNCLE I WAN IT ONE DAY. THAT DAY CAME. I GOT STATIONED IN KANSAS AND HAD A BLAST LIFTING HER A COUPLE INCHES. BIGGER TIRES AND THE WIDE OPEN FIELDS OF KANSAS AS MY PLAYGROUND. THATS UNTIL I GOT TBONED IN IT BY ANOTHER SUV DOING 60MPH. A BENT FRAME, MANGLED METAL, AND SOME PERSONAL INJURIES WERE THE RESULT OF THAT CRASH. SINCE THEN I REPLACED THE FRAME AND DECIDED TO GO A LITTLE BIGGER. SOLID FRONT AXLE SWAP. 4IN LIFT. BIGGER TIRES. I WAS ALMOST DONE BUT THEN I SHIPPED OUT TO THE MIDDLE EAST. I RECENTLY GOT OUT OF ACTIVE DUTY AND MOVED ME AND MY WIFE BACK HOME TO SACRAMENTO. SINCE THEN IVE MADE SEVERAL REAPIRS AND ADDITIONS TO FIX HER UP. THE TOYOTA RECYCLE YARD IN RANCHO CORDOVA HELPED ME OUT WITH A NEW FRONT END AND SOME AMAZING BUMPERS. ARMY DIDNT PAY ME ENOUGH TO BALL OUT SO I TURNED TO SECOND HAND STUFF. SHES ALMOST ROAD WORTHY AND WILL BE ON THE ROAD HOPEFULLY BY JULY.
