Is there a season for camping there? We are looking at Nov 3-5.

All seasons you can camp. NPS campgrounds close in the off season not sure of dates. Lots of local campgrounds open all year. OCT and NOV is the big fishing season.(If you want to drive on the beach at night during the fishing season you should only use parking lights. the fishermen dont play up there that time of year!) Camping is never allowed on the beach on the Cape Hatteras National Seashore including Ocracoke. Portsmoth Island and Cape lookout allow camping on the beach. This is prime time for drum fishing so you will need to reserveferry tickets NOW!! Hope you have a great trip its a beautiful place.
