I was just curious if anyone else here carries Pig Mats with them in their vehicles for the unfortunate event that you have to absorb automotive fluids while on the trail? I carry a roll of these with me at all times. Individual mats are given to driver during Jamboree events on the local trails here and I would assume they are given elsewhere in the US as well. They are a great resource that doesn't break the bank as far as trail cleanliness. Granted it can be very messy and daunting should the unfortunate happen but it is better to be prepared than not. The last thing we need is to leave a potentially hazardous mess. I also carry a small container of Dry Sweep with me as well to help with other spills should they occur. If you don't have access to Dry Sweep any non fragrance cat litter that is clay based will do the job as well. Pour it on the spill, let sit for a few, sweep it around in the spill to allow it to soak up said spill, then clean up and put in a suitable container and dispose of it in a proper manner. Just some food for thought.

This is absolutely not an advertisement or plug for anything in particular. I am simply just sharing what I use on trail for the possible unfortunate event to help clean up my messes should they occur to the best of my ability. If this is inappropriate please remove.

Thanks,

I love this. I've ALWAYS wondered what one does with a messy trailside repair and how to handle the oil or fluid spills that could happen, this is awesome!

Thanks for sharing!

You are very welcome. I try to stay as clean as possible when I am out and about exploring as we need to keep our trails and forests happy. Glad to be of some help.
