Hey everyone! I’m in SW Oklahoma for the summer, hoping to meetup or adventure with this crowd. Is there anything planned for the next few weekends? Or any spots I should checkout? TIA.

Okie new to this forum, Hi all!

Im taking the family out to NM in July/August, but wanted to do a weekend warm up trip with the kids and dog. I'm over in Edmond, if anyone has any tips on good areas to go, I'm all ears.
Look up “OAT”. Oklahoma adventure trail

Welcome!! I'm up in Owasso, but we've got members spread out around the state. This thread and the OB-SW facebook page are the best place to keep up with local goings-on.

We've struggled with regular meet and greets because we're all so spread out, but we do meet up occasionally for M/Gs, trips, trail days, etc. Look forward to seeing you at an event!

New Okie to the OB forum. Looking forward to meeting you guys and going on my first Overlanding adventure. I meet okieoverlander yesterday and he passed on the link to OB to me. I’ve owned my 92 Cherokee since February it’s been a lot of fun and looking forward to testing the capabilities of myself and the Cherokee.

Welcome all! Glad to have you! @JetDriver I'm on the south side of Lake Arcadia. I think central OK might outnumber Tulsa area now. I second hitting up Crossbar for a nice day trip or weekend. Was a great time and had quite a variety of terrain we did find some rocky hill climbs that weren't on a map so be prepared. @OKT4RCPL was thinking it would be a good place for a meetup. They have a lot of camping and the primitive area looked pretty nice. I haven't done the OAT yet but I'm planning on getting some bits of it soon. Thinking of hitting it up from Enid area and heading west or starting west and heading east. Wife wants to hit up the Washita battlefield way out there, and if I remember right it runs close to the salt flats too. I haven't seen anything for Central OK or Tulsa area meetups lately. Maybe it's time to get another one or a weekend/day trip together.

Thinking of sticking to Central OK or maybe migrating it a bit? Could do a day cookout thing down at Crossbar, Maybe a day down at Mt Scott. Cookout near one of the lakes? OKC area doesn't really have much for checking out each others rigs and hanging out.

https://www.riderplanet-usa.com/atv/trails/info/oklahoma_06848/ride_9a4c.htm Before I fell off the radar I was trying to setup an event located at Keystone Lake. There was two campgrounds near it and chance to play in water on a hot day set up a place to chill and bbq. Not sure how it will be after all the rain we just went through. Might make a day trip over there and check it out.

Both sound like great options and could probably caravan to/from OKC area to them. Could take the OAT out to Keystone. OAT seems a bit out of the way to do on the way to Beaver.

Whoa. I went away for work for a couple of days and it’s pretty cool to see so many responses!

I just took a look at that OAT, that’s pretty great stuff, thank you guys for the responses. I’m down for a meet up to exchange some ideas. I used to do this sort of thing a lot BC (before children), and I’m really excited to get back into it and see a good group involved with this.

@Hirvy is correct The Ozark trip is worth it. Went last year had a blast hope to go this year. Great classes and trail rides. For sure want to set up a Fall trip to Beaver state park for overnight ghost story camping.
