Sorry all, I've been out all weekend exploring the Ozarks. I think the 21st is probably pushing it time wise. I am going to set up the central OK meet and greet for the 28th. I will be out of state and unable to attend but I hope everyone who showed last time will attend again and keep the momentum going. I think Michael Hyden will be there to share the details of our trip and more information on the upcoming get together in Arkansas the second weekend in June. It is going to be a great time. Hopefully 4.0Liters to Freedom will have plenty to share about his epic trip as well.

If anyone knows of any reason not to do this on the 28th, please speak up asap. I will try to get this posted and rolling by Wednesday.

I would like to meet my fellow Okie Overland Bounders, if there is there a mailing list please add me or is there a primary contact for Oklahoma that I should be following?

I think this thread is the best place for updated info. There's also an "Overland Bound - Southwest" facebook page, but it's regional, so it's only so useful for meetups.

Thanks for putting it out there. So is Oklahoma considered Southwest? I was thinking Midwest. We're kind of MidSouth but that's not really a thing. I need a map to identify these regions. Regardless, I sent them a request to join.

This is a great event. It would be fun to have a group of Okies meet up there. Last year was the first one and there were 163 rigs there. I met some great people there last year that I’ve been camping and wheeling with this year. Byrd’s adventure and the Ozarks is one of my favorite places to go.

Looks just like the kind of adventurous crew that I would like to join.
Thanks for the heads-up SoonersFan

Ozarks was a great trip last year, I dont think we are going to make it this year with a big trip this summer already planned. Anyone who can make this trip really should. There was thread on here on how they picked the regions I think it was from the Forestry Department or something like that. Yeah its weird to be in South West and Kansas in the Rocky Mountains.

http://bigredoffroadpark.com/ wife found this off road park in Shawnee I hope to check it out and get more details to share with everyone.

I had a jeep guy suggest that place to me the other day. I had never heard of it, but wouldn't mind going to check it out. I'd say go this weekend but with the rain coming it may be a little too muddy for my taste.
