Hey folks. The brilliant dealer sold me the wrong filter for my LC. Its the yzzG2. Apparently it's for a 4cyl. The only difference is slightly wider and shorter. I plan on replacing it ASAP but is there any immediate harm in using it for a couple hundred miles? It's installed now and seems to work but dint like having such a small filter.

I'm assuming by now you've got the correct filter. But if you haven't there's no real need to worry. I'm also going to assume it's a canister filter as a spin on filter is more engine specific. As long as there's a filtration device in the housing you're good.

The only issue really is that the filter may not fit perfectly and the pump may shoot some contaminants that bypass the smaller filters capabilities. For sure you want the correct filter for the job, but I've run canister filters without actual filters inside the housing in the past as well as leaving old filters way longer they should've been in lol.
