Hey everyone, planning to do a roackies to west coast loop this summer. I'm on mobile so the site is a bit hard to navigate, if there's already a disxudiscu about this, I apologise. Does anybody know a route from COS/Denver area that will take me through the rockies up to northern wyoming/Yellowstone area? Doesn't have to be strictly unimproved roads but scenic is best. Thank you guys!

I'm working on a similar route, just in reverse, for this summer. I've been watching some of the videos on the backcountry discovery route, or at least part of it. There are several options if FS roads to connect city to city. From Springs head west toward Buena Vista to Leadville/Turquoise Lake to Gypsum/Eagle to Steamboat then into Wyoming. See if that gives you any ideas and if you want more specifics let me know. I've just been watching videos and staring at the Benchmark Atlas and Google Earth to try to plan a route.

Me either. I'm sure there are people with experience that could suggest other routes. Being from Oklahoma, I was overwhelmed at first with the options available out there. Came across some vids and info on the BDR and ran with it.
