@Steve @timberwolf_120 Since OB is really world wide , trail specific trophys will exclude a bunch of folks in the forums. Though we are CA based, we don't want to build things into the forum Trophys that emphasizes one region over the other. I think the fringe benefits of that fact are enough (we get to see each other)! The "Challenge" track is specifically for the more adventurous, or accidentally adventurous :) I'd like to take the challenges the Rubicon presents, and make them applicable to any location. "Cross-axel two boot transition" for that time you were fully articulated, and tipped, two tires off the ground, from your passenger rear to your driver front. This way it can happen anywhere. Not that we won't have OB trail badges somewhere. That might be cool.

What do you think?

@Michael said "Cross-axel two boot transition for that time you were fully articulated, and tipped, two tires off the ground, from your passenger rear to your driver front" @maktruk I'm sure you remember Cleghorn Bar, I know I will never forget the feeling. Scott what do you recall how high my rear driver tire off the ground during transition? I remember you screaming/yelling a bit, My driver seat will never be the same! hahaha.
These are all good idea's Except trails like the Rubicon, that steps into rock crawling witch require exclusively different modifications than for over landing. @Mademan925 did that trail and I asked him if he thought I could do it he said yes but! You will damage all your armor skids bumpers and probably body panels.
Just 2cents my friends......

I have a few photos with two tires on the ground.

The rubicon is a beast. Can you get a Stock Jeep through maybe? If you stack enough rocks, get winched, don't mind breaking any stock skids off the truck, and smashing front/ rear bumpers and body panels.

@stoney126 said his jeep was bottoming out on the bald mountain trail last year. If his stock jeep bottomed out there then the rubicon would be interesting.

I like the idea of keep trophies open to any type of overlander an anywhere in the world.

Challenger: rescuer: recover someone else's Vic.

I like the distance traveling on trips, did that earlier this year in the blizzard during January, went from tx to Kentucky. Also had to bypass a shut down road by the hwy due to 18 wheelers stuck on the icy roads. We took a back road thru snow and fallen trees to get to our destination. Trip went from being a 14-16 hr road trip into a 24-26 hr road trip due to the weather and route recon to bypass closed roads. And recovering a lot of trucks and cars stuck in the snow. Couple of Scouts on a mission to get to Ft. Knox, had to use the skills we acquired a lot during that trip.

Some wildlife related achievements would be cool.
"Prowler" >> Like a picture of your rig with (insert large indigenous predator) nearby.
"Nesting Box" >> A bird sitting on your roof rack.
"Wildlife Medic" >> Rescue or assist an injured or stranded animal.
"Deer in the headlights" >> Spotlight an animal on a trail... but don't hit it!!

Do you have to be offroad the entire time. I drove my model A from Ca to Idaho to Yellowstone to on a dirt road to get to Mt . Rushmore to Crazy Horse to Columbus, OH the to Michigan to NC to AR to TX to NM to AZ to NV to CA
Nope! Off road is not required for all, likely for some!

As a "Newbie", I may never catch up to some of the original members, but what if you had a "Trending" trophy? Like, "Who got the most likes this week"? Or, "Who posted the thread with the most comments this month?"
Not exactly what you are asking for, but check out: http://overlandbound.com/forums/badges/

Looks a bit wonky now because I just implemented the "Track Unlock" trophies.

Hey all, up to this point, I have added most of your suggestions in the trophy list. I made a document here so you can see the progress we have made. Feel free to enter in more suggestions for each trophy (there are four slots per).

Thanks again!

Hey, Michael! Something I was thinking about in reading this might work for the "Builder," "Creator" or "Inventor" categories you have there under "Innovator." Maybe a "DIY Project of the Month" type of thing. Each month, members can add a DIY project they did. Each member can only submit one entry per month. Entries are only accepted into the thread from the first of the month to, say, the 25th. On the 25th, a poll is added for member voting on the entries until the end of the month. The entrant with the most votes earns the "Trophy."

Something else that could go under Navigator II or III or Pioneer I, II, or III could be the shorter trips. Not everyone will have time to do long trips, but instead trips that are 2 or 4 hours travel away or something like that for a quick one or two-nighter type thing. Accomplish two or three trips like this and you earn your trophy, maybe?
