you make that yourself?Thanks!
While I love my Jeep and it is set-up to go pretty much anywhere, it is a little more work to drive with the four cylinder (mainly when pulling the trailer). The truck is more comfortable, and pretty much put it in drive and go. With the truck's true-tracs front & rear, it has always been a beast in the snow. So from what you're saying I'm leaning towards the truck for this trip.
And either way, I'll bring the trailer. Depending on what the ground looks like at the campsite, I'll either set up a small 8x10' tent & cot, or sleep in the RTT (really a double sized tent-cot) on the trailer.

Pretty much. In simple terms, I had an aluminum tub made, and then bolted it to a modified Harbor Freight trailer frame. It has served me well.you make that yourself?

That's super neat. I'm looking forward to seeing it this weekend. What company made the tub?Pretty much. In simple terms, I had an aluminum tub made, and then bolted it to a modified Harbor Freight trailer frame. It has served me well.
Here's a link to the trailer on the OB forum, and it includes a build link from the JeepForum.
Little Harbor Freight type trailer build
I started building this little 4' HF-type trailer about 10 years ago. Here's where it is at so far. I would say "I'm done", but projects like these are never done. I'd still like to mount a hand-brake to the trailer (need to pull the drums and see if they are set-up for it). The tongue has...www.overlandbound.com
It isn't too difficult to do, and if you've got limited space in your overland vehicle, I strongly recommend a little trailer.
