Heading up into KY to try out some of Daniel Boone. However, we can’t make it that far on Day 1 and are looking to stay in the area around Knoxville. I see North Cumberland Wildlife Management Area. The region west of I-75 looks fairly wooded and remote. However, I can’t find much info on dispersed camping in this area and even if a permit is required just for camping. Anyone visited this area and perhaps have any near-the-road remote camping suggestions? I know there are some parks in this area ().
