Should update the main post. I am in looks like fun.ATTENTION ALL WHO ARE INTERESTED, THE LOCATION AND TRAIL HAS CHANGED TO SOMEWHERE CLOSER.
Instead of driving 4 hours to Simon I found a closer trail that is still stock friendly!
Where: Pine Grove Yerington, NV
When: February 19th
Meet Up Location/Time: Love's Travel Stop ( Address: 825 Commerce Center Dr., I-80 Exit 46, Fernley, NV 89408) At 9 AM
Trail: It will take about 2 hours to get to the start of the trail from Fernley. The trail is 7.5 miles and should take about an hour each way. This trail is still stock friendly however there will be some ruts from all the weather we have had in January and washouts might be present. But don't let that scare you off, the remains of the town will be worth it!
Theres usually a big group from Sac that convoysAny one from the bay rolling up?

Some people don't care for the high desert it is by far my favorite place to go. Miles and miles of dirt roads to explore.Sounds like this trail is stock friendly and the scenery looks beautiful. I need to start exploring Nevada more. Please put my daughter and I as going. If anything changes and we can't make it, I will post up.
We will plan on meeting everyone at the meet spot in Fernly. Looking forward to it.
Totally agree with this. I have done a little exploring of Nevada over the years, but not enough for how much I love it. I have been to the Black Rock Desert. My uncle used to always take me out by the ghost town Masonic over by Bridgeport,CA when I was little. I know that's CA and not Nevada but the high elevation desert feel is similar. I am starting to acquire Nevada off road books so I can have a basic group of trails to start with. Looking forward to getting of the highway and hitting the less traveled path. That is where the real beauty is.Some people don't care for the high desert it is by far my favorite place to go. Miles and miles of dirt roads to explore.

That looks fun, I'm about 5 minutes from the Nugget so I might have to mark this on the calendar. Have you heard what they plan to do on Saturday now that the lake is closed to all non-tribe members till about april? My buddy and a great guide is putting one on.
