Northern Ca/Southern Oregon Beach Camping

Gf and I are planning a trip up CA starting in the eastern sierras then moving across norcal after some time in Tahoe.

We were looking for any places to camp on the beach in the northern part of CA or southern Oregon? Somewhere we could drive out on the sand?

We will have the RTT so we can make camp anywhere we park.

I would recommend usal campground. It's a part of the lost coast area. Me my wife and best friend just got back from a very similar trip yesterday.
