Im all for it i dont know if I will be able to make it though because I am doing a trip out to Oregon end of this month till around the 10th but we will see. Also depending on the turnout we should move the location to a centralized location. Even though it is already pretty centralized.

How about a Saturday in October? The first weekend is a Land Rover event so hopefully this can be planned for any weekend after that.

The casual meet up is difficult to organize for some reason. Mostly due to a long drive for a hour or two conversation. Not that conversation is bad but when it takes up a half a day, it creeps in that you gonna spend a good part of the day chit chatting for a bit. So unless it more localized(within a half hour or so) I don't see these working well. I could be wrong though.

I'm thinking theRe should be a quarterly meet. Park bbq/swap meet /show and shine.
Not quite a car show but something that makes a 2 hours drive worth it lol.
Anyway I'm rambling on .

That makes sense. Even my Offroad club only meets once a month. Not always gonna be new things to see every month, quarterly makes a lot of sense

Well since we're all Bay Area folks, why not meet up at Frank Raines one weekend when it opens in October. There are a few trails and camping for those who want to and a BBQ picnic area. I think the 29th is a Halloween event so we could plan for the 22nd or a weekend in November.

There's nothing more annoying than an unsolicited opinion, but here it goes ;-)

The ONLY way to make something like this work, is to set dates (i.e., 2rd Saturday of every month), and let it build. When people know they can count on it not being cancelled, they may be able to adjust their schedule. Saturdays work best because most people work Mon-Fri. It won't be perfect, and some won't be able to make it, but changing the plan constantly doesn't work.

P.S. 3rd & 4th Saturdays are a problem in Nov & Dec., which makes 1st & 2nd Saturdays a better bet.

Note: I could be wrong about all of this ;-)
