Anyone from NJ that can recommend a beach where I can drive on the sand and take my pups for the day?

Check the New Jersey Beach Buggy website. All NJ beaches require you to be actively fishing while on the beach if you are driving on. Asbury Park has a dog beach where you can park and walk into the beach w/ your dogs amongst others. The most popular is Island Beach State Park, but again you must be fishing. The NJ Park Police will drive up and check your gear and make sure of it.
