I have a ton of images of my camps around North America, though this one, even though it's not that crisp, keeps popping back into mind when I think of all the time I've spent in the desert. Alone out there for weeks, miles from any pavement, long morning walkabouts checking animal tracks and desert blooms, and staying up all night learning the heavens.

Pure bliss, man, and I can't wait to get back.

Where is the best area in the US to get the most of stars light

Any dark sky community. I grew up in Cherry Springs PA. You can see the Milky Way clearly, Burnsville NC is also a dark sky community
