Anyone still here, after all the security issues?

If so.... I'm planning my first overlandibg trip utilizing as much two lane and dirt as possible from western Oklahoma to the sand hills of Nebraska for the eclipse this next summer. I've found some waypoints along the way I'd like to explore. Now, how do I connect the dots for this trip? Tom-tom and google will run a nice trip on paved roads but l want to cover some back country as well. What maps, web pages do you use for your planning?

Think we're all still here. I haven't done such a trip before but I'm sure others have. People will post soon :)

There's a couple threads about tablet based programs such as Gaia or the one I finally purchased which is Backcountry Navigator which I like so far. Do a search here on those two terms and you'll get an earful.

Thanks. I bought the Gaia app. Guess I'll need to learn to use it.

Thanks @stringtwelve for taking a few moments and taking me to class on what maps/apps you use. I look forward to running into you again one day.
Glad to help you out! Feel free to message me any time.
Looks like Gaia pro is a good choice w/the planning tools it offers. I will upgrade my Gaia to the pro and see what I can learn.
Nice choice!
