Hey!

My name is Tyler and I’m new to overlanding. I’ve been doing research in builds that could accommodate my girlfriend and our three dogs.

I really like the idea of roof top tents to get us up off the ground.

I’m thinking of trading in my car and getting a Toyota Tacoma. I’ve also had my eyes on the AT Habitat camper for it.

We both work remotely so I don’t have a big need to have a fuel efficient car so the idea was to trade in my car and get an overland rig while she keeps her car.

I’m worried about being able to fit the Tacoma with the Habitat in a standard garage though.

The height of a stock 2019 TRD Off-road Tacoma is 70.6” and my garage can fit up to 82”. I can’t seem to find how high the habitat will go over the roof though.

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks,
Tyler

The AT Habitat website does seem to have the specs and dimensions there for you to look at. I think the only thing you might have to figure out is the Tacoma bed height and go from there.

I must admit after perusing the website is if I ever replace my Xterra with a pickup, this will be the route that I go.

It's been awhile since I said Hello! We picked up a 2019 Toyota Tacoma and installed an ATOverland Habitat on it. Here's a few pictures from our trip out to Overland Expo East this past October!
