Location: Northern New Mexico
Rig: Don't have one yet. Currently driving a 2019 Forester Sport. Looking to hit the road/off-road with my partner for an open ended journey. Maybe in a 4x4 Sprinter rig.
Experience: Just light off roading in Wranglers and Toyotas. However, I did a 6 month expedition across much of North and West Africa with a mountain bicycle and a map. Look forward to learning from experienced overlanders here.

Hello Ron (@zznalg) welcome from Oklahoma though I did spend much of my childhood in SE NM. 6 month expedition across Africa on a mountain bike? You sound like a pretty experienced overlander to me.

Awesome, thank you! As for experience, I kind of know how to camp, deal with killer bees, malaria and angry soldiers. But vehicle overlanding is all new to me.

You got 4 wheels and gas, you got a rig, just get out and go, might not be your idea of perfection, but it gets you out and that my friend is the key....Besides lot less pedaling!
