Hello
My name is Zac, and I am from Johnson City TN.
I drive a 2017 Ford Raptor, and have quite a bit of experience overlanding, offroading, etc.
I'm looking forward to meeting up with some members and having a good time.
Hello Zac and welcome to the OB crew. .Nice looking rig and look forward to seeing your build and adventures

Hi Zac, and welcome! I spent a few vacation trips down your way back in the early '70s. Lots of dirt back roads around Watauga Lake in a '69 FIAT station wagon. Wet clay roads were slicker than snot with nylon tires.

Watauga Lake is a pretty nice place to go. I've been driving all over the place looking for somewhere new though, about to head up north to check out Black Mountains in NC here one of these days!

Man I love those trucks. I do some part time work at a Ford dealer and drool on Raptors any time they come around.

Welcome to the forum Zac!

It's definitely a fun truck, just very expensive to drive around. I just took a trip to Utah for some overlanding, and after a little over 5,000 miles I averaged only 10 miles a gallon. I did however pull a 1500 lbs M1101 trailer behind me.

I'm scoping out an old military trailer for my Jeep. There's a post somewhere here about military trailers. You should post up yours, or send me some pics of your build as I am trying to ingest everything I can on the subject.

Oh, and a JKU on 35's doesn't do much better on the MPG's if that makes you feel better! lol

It’s not the miles per gallon, it’s the smiles per gallon.... at least that’s what I try to convince myself driving a ‘99 Jeep Wrangler TJ
