Hey guys. I am a new member from Garden Ridge, TX. I recently got a 2018 Ram Power Wagon and want to start getting it setup for overlanding. I used to have an FJ cruiser that I had totally modded out. My wife has a 2015 4Runner with King suspension, bajarack, and some other goodies. I’m hoping to get back into doing some fun overlanding trips.

Welcome! What do you have planned for the Power Wagon?
I want to get some sliders, 35” tires, bed topper. Eventually I’d like to get a King suspension also. I’ll need to figure out a way to setup a second battery maybe in the bed hooked up to my fridge and solar as well as alternator. I’d like to get it set up to where I could sleep in the bed if I don’t want to use my oztent.

Good looking truck. Thinking about transitioning into a PW from my 4Runner. Does the stock battery need to be upgraded to run a Dometic/ARB fridge like you do when you install a fridge into a 4R/Taco?

Thank you. I have only found a couple guys that have upgraded the stock battery. But, I think there’s a lot more people running fridges in the Toyota world. I haven’t really seen a lot of ram guys running fridges without having a full camper setup.
