Good morning! My name is Alfonso and I’m from Modesto, CA. I own a 2017 Subaru Outback and I’ve thoroughly enjoy winter sports in the sierras. I’ve always camped and continue to love the outdoors. However I’ve recently stumbled across “Overlanders” and am fascinated at how many people are involved. I’m completely new at all this and I’m looking forward to learn from you all. My outback is completely stock, but look forward to put it on some dirt trails.

I’m looking forward to it. Anyone take kids along? I have a 5 year old daughter that I know will love it, but not sure how long she‘ll last before she wants to do something else.

There is always things for a 5 year old to do. They will amaze you with the things they will get into. LET THEM GET INTO STUFF AND EXPLORE A BIT. You can always clean them up at the end of the day.
Stuff for kids to do:
Help set up camp, it takes a bit longer, SO, start a bit earlier.
Have them help with meal prep.
Teach how to build a fire.
Scavenger hunts!
Let them drive in your lap.
S’mores and snicker boats.
Remember all those driving games you played as a kid?
I love the stories my father and grandfather would tell around the camp fires, I must have heard them 100’s of times. They are part of the legacy of the family.

Yeah all the time, is one of the reasons that I love Overland Bound so much. No drama, not going out with a bunch of jerks and power drinkers....
