Hello all i am member #2907. My name is James i am originally form northern Florida, where i met my now Wife (Shelby) and i joined the Navy. The Navy then took me to Charleston Sc. and Saratoga Spring NY for training then Norfolk Va. for a year or so plus a deployment on a submarine, i didn't mention yet that i am a Nuclear Machinist Mate on a Sub, then moved me to New England for two plus years where i lived in Kittery Maine and Farmington NH finally i moved to San Diego Ca. and just found out in August i move back to New York. I have three children Two Boys (Walker-6 and Noah-4) and a Daughter (Hallie-2) that keep Shelby and I Busy. I recently got into off roading in New england with a 1984 4Runner which turned out to be to small once my wife decided she was interested in going offroading, with me which lead me to purchase my now in progress overland rig a 1994 FZJ80 which has slowly been evolving and draining the bank account i have lucked out that i have a very understanding wife which has allowed me to lift it with an OME 2inch Medium duty, regeard to 4.56 yukon gears with front and rear ARB airlockers, front Longfield gundrilled birfields and BFG KO2 35" just added a Baja Rack Utility rack, IPOR Skid plate, and looking into some armor now that the drivetrain is all in order. My goal with overlanding is to get my kids away from the devices and out in the wilderness and watch then get back intouch with their roots as i did when i was a child and grow together as a family.
