Haha that's hilarious. I'm glad you guys love the jeep. More mods and parts to come in the future. I'll keep you all updated.

Hey @hallry, I was watching a 4xOverland video where Andrew said mounting a hi-lift anywhere forward of the windshield was a bad idea in case of an accident. I'm curious how you feel about that mounting location in the event of?

Yah I've been contemplating that issue. I may change the location to the the rack instead.

Hi guys just wanted to introduce myself now that I'm official. I've been posting a bit already in the forums. I got my member kit as well as I had the recruiting cards printed when I see some amazing rigs. Here's what my rig and I look like so if you see me give me a wave or holla back!

Welcome to the Overland Bound group!
Are those photos out in the Alabama Hills? Looks familiar.

Nice pick on the AEV bumpers, tire carrier and Salta wheels on your Jeep.

Awesome rig @hallry I also have a jeep wrangler like yours, except mine is black. Mine is a rubicon also, but still mostly stock; I'm looking at a roof rack, not sure what to go for, I kind of like the Goby's, it was recommended by @Michael . It's a little pricey though, what do u think. it's gonna be approximately 1,900. I just feel that I will need more space to put more stuff on the top, so I should get that first and Little by little I could be adding more things such as a front bumper, etc... i need to buy me a cheap tent for now, and all the little things to start exploring the outdoors, what do you guys think? @hallry and @Michael

I totally understand. You said you have a Jeep like mine? So a 2 door? If it's a 2 door there's a few options.

Gobi Stealth
Smittybilt SRC
Rino Rack Pioneer
Kargo Master Safari Congo Pro Cage

And the list goes on. To be honest I usually go all out and buy the most expensive for anything I'm interested in so I never or very rarely have to worry about replacing it. But at the time of just buying my jeep I got the bug to go off-road and go camping with a rooftop tent after camping with my buddy in his Westfalia. So I got the most economical option; the Smittybilt SRC. I have to say with a few tweaks it's really worked well for me and I like how large the tuning is. Most of the racks seem puny in comparison. Not to mention I get compliments all the time. As for the tent I did order the new roof top tent from Smittybilt but later cancelled my order when I found a local company that specializes in them. Tepui Tents are amazing! So cost wise it set me back about $2500 total but I went with an upgraded Ruggedized tent option. Message me directly if you have more questions. Good luck!

I don't have experience with a wide variety, but like the one-piece construction of the Gobi, but pricey with long lead times. No complaints on service use though!
