New guy from Southern California. Looking through some trips through Utah and Colorado in the relatively near future. Hoping to take the Rimrocker with my son and dad, and maybe some friends.

Love getting out around SoCal, though, so feel free to hit me up if you're in the area.

My rides...

2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited Ecodiesel

1984 Jeep CJ7 Laredo

(and with my dad's TJ)

Thanks for the message, Kent. I lived up in your area - Lake Tahoe - for about 20 years. Learned to drive out in the deserts of Nevada. Many years ago now, but great memories.

Hello @GunninIt, welcome to the forum and group.
So. Cal is a big place, can you put a finer point on it? I live down Torrance / so.bay area, there's a couple meetups pretty close to me in either direction, we're trying to establish some regularity, hope you can make either one.
One's near Culver city, and one's in Long Beach area, pick one and come and introduce yerself!

Dan.

Thanks Chad. The Laredo is my fav also. My dad had a 69 CJ5 when I was growing up. So I had to relive my youth (and share with my own son) and by the CJ7!

Thanks Dan! LA County is big enough, so yeah, SoCal was broad. Kinda by design. I’m up in Pasadena. Close, yet far from you guys in the South Bay. Depends on traffic, huh!

I’ll keep an eye out for the meet ups. Appreciate the heads up.

I had a beautiful 75 cj5 that went away after a divorce. Totally get it. If you ever get up in the PNW just reach out . Getting ready to relocate to central Oregon near Sun River and Bend.

Wow...two years. I think I need a RE-introduction. About a year ago, after fighting immensely with Fiat Chrysler on my Ecodiesel Grand Cherokee, I decided to offload it. As great as the diesel COULD have been, FCA and their infinite wisdom destroyed it. At least I got a minor payout and made a little bit of $$$ when selling.

So what ended up being next? Back to my Toyota roots, and back in time with a 2006 LX470. It's become our family hauler and overlander. The CJ is still around, though. Can't ever get rid of that.

Glad to be checking back in.

Photos of the LX (and CJ).
