I have been exploring for years before I recently discovered that "Overland" was a thing. mostly ghost towns, historic sites and mines in California and Nevada. (my website www.ghosttownexplorer.com). My current rig is a 2008 Tahoe which I have made some minor modifications to including slight suspension lift and air bags, larger all terrain tires, Walker Quiet Flow Exhaust, Transmission Cooler, and Removable LED off road light bar. Inside I added a tablet mount which I use for mapping and internet access when its available. also mounted a Garmin GPS, CB Radio, additional fused power ports and I just recently framed a storage box / bed in the rear cargo area which I intend on improving over time.. My biggest hurdle is making these improvements without drastically changing the look of the vehicle exterior because I use it for work regularly.. also started a trailer build and always looking for suggestions and pictures for ideas!
