Even though I just bought 3 Water Bricks less than a month ago, my desire to reduce weight and increase storage has led me down another rabbit hole. Today I started on installing my new onboard water storage system. I installed my "faucet" (just a brass hose bibb) and the pump with pressure diaphragm, ran my hose concealed behind interior panels, and tested for leaks.

I'm having a custom tank fabricated by Plastic Mart that will install behind the rear seat of the Disco, and in front of my current storage system. Will have a 10 gallon capacity onboard, with all the weight much lower on the chassis. I'll also be able to lose the solar shower, reducing my rack load by 25#/100# (empty/full) and I'll just buy a small propane camp shower. I installed a quick-connect on the hose bibb so I can interchange connections easily (to the shower, for example).

I will also install a cut-off switch somewhere near the pump so it only has power when parked at camp and ready to be used.
