Overland Rendezvous 2019
Presented by the Northeast Flatlanders and Pete’s Camp VT;
To support Toys-For-Tots, in conjunction with the Vermont State Police
The Overland Rendezvous is back for it’s 2nd year! Please join us for a great cause on Saturday, Oct. 26th, from 9-10am at picturesque Pete’s Camp located in scenic Windham, VT. The Northeast Flatlanders of CT have once again coordinated a Toys-For-Tots toy drive to collect new, unwrapped toys for children in need as the holiday season quickly approaches! This event is open to the public and free of charge. We ask that you embrace the holiday spirit and show the local kids how generous our off-roading community can be! Come out and show off your off-road rig and meet the NEF crew for hot coffee and beverages, and help us STUFF Vermont police cruisers full of toys for those less fortunate! Our host, Pete, will have the coffee on and the campfires roaring, so come hang out, catch up with old friends, meet new ones, and enjoy the beauty of Vermont.
Once you arrive at Pete’s Camp and drop off your toys, we encourage everyone to use the spot as your own personal basecamp. The scenic Class IV roads are open to the public, and although we will NOT be doing guided rides, you are free to explore the VT backroads on your own or with friends. Pete has graciously offered up his land for all of us to camp on. You can camp for one night, or make a long weekend adventure out of it! You can even campout the night before the toy drive. Suggested donation is only $20/night/per truck. Pete’s Camp will provide your firewood, so pack up your campstove and your cooler full of provisions and come enjoy the Great Outdoors with us!
Please note: the event has a new format for this year. In the past, our Toy Drive was held in conjunction with a large trail cleanup. There will be NO trail cleanup this year. We do plan on hosting one, but it will be on a different date. This year, The NEF crew wanted the Overland Rendezvous to get back to it’s roots...the essence of Overlanding: camaraderie, cool trucks...segwaying into campfires and cold beverages as the day goes on.
Also, new this year, there will be NO swag raffle. We felt that it took away from the true spirit of the gathering...to help kids in need. We hope to see you there!
