Have a HUGE fitment problem. Rooftop tent and 270 Degree awning will not fit when tent is opened. Would really love so me opinions. Both are brand new and I really want them work together, just not sure how to get it right. When the tent is opened it requires way more room than I anticipated. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Consider fabbing some drop brackets on the awning so it sits lower on your rack. What roof rack and what mounting brackets do you have?

May be able to make a bracket with a couple wing nuts and slot or a system that lets you pull it further from the truck the. Tuck it back in when you want to move.

Also could make a mount where it pivots forward and into the vehicle for storage and then pivots back and away from it for use. It could pivot on bolts and flat steel then use some type of latch to secure it in storage then maybe a pin or other latch to secure it for use. Just a idea.

I'm thinking a tubular slide of sorts with pins for when in use and out of use. Not sure what materials to use though.

Thanks but it is as low as it can go now, I should have stated that but forgot to.
It's a Prinsu Low Profile. The brackets are 1/4" and are plenty to hold the awning it's just that it has to be so far out from the truck when the tent is up.
