Looking for suggestions on a really nice set of gloves for overlanding / camping in cold weather.

Need to be durable enough to pick up firewood and swing an ax. Need to be warm enough for those 15 degree nights, need to be able to articulate the fingers (so five finger recommendations only)

Help a brother out. I'm in Denver and willing to drive anywhere in the area to take a look at some in person. Price is not the biggest factor. I'd rather have a solid pair of gloves that will last a long time.

Thanks in advance overlanders!

My advice would be to take a few different pairs.... the key is to always be dry.

(examples only... there are lots of different brands out there that are good)
Simple Mechanix gloves ( https://www.mechanixwear.ca/ )
... but also a pair that are warmer ( https://www.kombicanada.com/ )

It never hurts to have a few of these on hand as well.... (chemical handwarmers that activate when exposed to the air)

I've put a few of those hand warmers into the backs of a light pair of mechanics gloves and was quite comfortable standing outside stationary for 1.5 hrs at 5 degrees F (-15 C).
