I am planning a New England BDR trip for this October and looking for others who want to join in on the trip. We will be starting at the southern start point on 1 or 2 October and heading north from there.
That sounds like a fun trip. Wish I could get away from work.
I put together a trip on the Georgia Traverse last spring. Here are some quick lessons learned.
Start planning early - find out if trails close for the winter and plan a alternate route around them.
Post a Rally Point - if you want to get people interested you can send invitations to your RP when you set it up.
Keep your group small - limit your group size to what the trail can handle. It is no fun having to get a large group passed another group on a narrow trail. If you are planning on dispersed camping you will have a hard time finding sites for more than 6 rigs.
I hope this helps and you have a great trip!
