Lets get this going! People were cool with MLK weekend on the NC post. We need to setup a location, dosnt have to be 4x4.

3-4 of use from the RDU area are heading to this

not just a LR event either - open to everyone (as are all LR events BTW.... 2 in uwharrie, and 2 in VA every year, plus others)

Keeping an eye on the Winter Safari. I'm thinking if Santa brings me the Oz tent I asked for it will be a go.

I will need to stay close to the coast that weekend. If anyone wants to do a beach run (freemanpark) or something close to wilmington im in.
im thinking Saturday January 14th,2017 at freeman park at 2pm? Agree or disagree?
Then July 4th weekend we should all meet up in monkey junction Walmart parking lot and ride out to freeman park

I've got to go down there and pick up some appliances for my new house back in charlotte. So the 14th is on! Let's spread the word. I don't have Facebook anymore but I'll post it on here
Looks like it will work for us.
Wife and I have been wanting to get out there and it would be great to do with others that have been there before.

I DM'ed a bunch of guys on Instagram who live near Wilmington and are overlanders. So far we have 7 no on the forum. so we will have to do some recruiting for Overland Bound!

Not being familiar with the area. Are there more ideas/details for the day? We planned to drive over from Matthews mid morning and explore the beach a little. And we are always grateful if anyone more familiar was also interested and would lead the way.
