Don't do much astro photography but I am intrigued by it. This was the evening before my pic posted just above. I destroyed a tire on the trail and had to get it replaced during a planned stop later in the day. Very very small rural town, very lucky to get the attention of the only shop in town that sold tires (it was closed), even luckier that he had something that would work as he mainly sold big-rig tires. We ended up getting out of town late and and looked for any spot to bed down and found one of the more memorable camps.

looks like a cecropia moth caterpillar. they make a silky cocoon and then come out a massive moth. like hand sized lol.
Yes! That is what it was. I had never seen one before. It actually moved pretty quick for what it was. This was one of those shots. I didn't realize I had caught the reflection until I got home and started going through them.

How many bazillion years did it take that little waterfall to move all that rock?
No kidding. What amazed me was all the water in this arid land (Eastern WA)

From the other., less accessible, side. Too bad the road on the valley floor was gated :(
