Thanks man. I've been trying to get these things on for month or so. I've got some RCI skids coming this week then time for some harder trails.

It was time for an oil change so what Better time to install a Fumoto valve and skids. As usual I got to into all the work and didn't take any photos. So here is a shot after it is back in the driveway in the rain. IMG_0146.JPG For those that will ask, fumoto make valves that will fit just about any oil pan. This makes oil changes when you have skid plate a lot easier. Pic for reference. IMG_0149.JPG

Nice custom work you have been doing to your Tacoma. Does that bed rack fit under the camper shell? I see pictures with the shell on and pictures with just the rack.

No, but it only weighs about 80 pounds so it's pretty easy to remove.

So the added 100 pounds of skid plates has drastically improved the ride of these BP51's. I will be playing with the settings again to get back to the ride I want for the street. Previously I had to lower the compression to the second bar and rebound is at 2.5 ish. Both will be going up some. It's pretty awesome to be able to change the settings as I work on the truck. ARB did a great job with these.

They fit super well. Hopefully I will be able to scratch them up in a couple weeks. The valve is the only way to go in my opinion. I would never be able to change the oil without removing the skids otherwise. I think it was like $30 bucks from RCI when I ordered the skids.

Are you on a stock suspension still? I dont know if I missed that looking back. Curious if you lost any ride height or anything from the weight. Aluminum or steel?
