My Grand Cherokee cargo insert

For years, I’ve been planning on building a insert in the back of my Grand Cherokee. After years of studying and researching I finally bit the bullet and got started. I needed to have it mostly done for Search and Rescue Academy/boot camp this coming weekend. So here it is, and much like the jeep, it’s going to be a constant work in progress. FYI, I’m not a carpenter nor upholsterer lol.

I started out with paper and cardboard templates, laying out where every thing should go.

Started the bases with some scrap plywood I had.

The boxes are in two pieces so I can remove them as needed if I need to fold the seats up.

I had to make this extension to get to 6’2”. I just have to slide the drivers seat up.
