Looks like a real rig to me. The land is definitely underneath you.

Seriously - I believe that it's the travelling not the vehicle and the kit - they are the means to travel, not the purpose. If you have what;s needed to get to where you want to explore, that's all you need.

Another vote for a great photo, as well.
