Well now, that's a nice long drive; just my kind of trip!
I'll keep my eyes and ears open for possible spots for you to check out, though a lot will depend on what kind of gear you'll be traveling with for overnights. In the meantime, I'd search the Overland Bound Routes: Downloadable! forum for routes and trails, and the Live Events and the OB Meetups forums for local get-togethers that may be happening along your route. Might find some kindred spirits willing to let you camp on their property, or at the least get together for coffee or a meal.
The Member Map may be helpful to you, too. They've worked out a couple glitches and you can now search by location and see which members are in a given area and if they've been active recently. Might come in handy.
