I have a Tepui Ayer Sky RTT that I am mounting to the Smittybilt SRC Rack on my Jeep TJ and I want to mount my 4’ ARB awning to the tent itself via the mounting rails, as there is no other attachment point for a rear facing awning with my setup. Tepui customer service has informed me that Tepui brand awnings can be mounted in this fashion but my ARB awning cannot. After looking at some pictures online the two awnings seem to share essentially the same design which leads me to believe that they have some sort of proprietary bracket that enables this mounting method. If I can get my hands on a set of these my plan is to buy an extra set of mounting bolts for the tent and fabricate my own brackets. I’m wondering if anyone has any experience or insight they can share.
