Mormon handcart trail

Has anyone ever driven the Mormon handcart trail? From what I see it goes from nauvoo Illinois to Salt Lake City. I read an article in fourwheeler magazine years ago about it and thought it sounded amazing.

I've never heard of this. It sounds pretty cool! The story about it is quite interesting.
