US West Monterey Bay feeler

Just putting some feelers out there for OB members in the Monterey Bay/South Bay area to start a meetup group for this area. Thoughts?

Hi Matt, I've been thinking some sort of outdoor area, so folks could set up rigs and at least make coffee. I'm not much for parking lots in malls. Question is where is such a place?

I’m giving that some thought as well. Mall parking lot kinda goes against the whole OB thing! I’ll let you know of some options I come up with. If you think of anything let me know.

Hmmm, Just you n me, eh? Splitting the distance can put us around Aptos/Watsonville? Some small county parks there. Scott Family County Park comes to mind, only big enough parking for maybe half a dozen rigs, does have a bathroom! If we get serious I have a friend who owns a private park by Pasatiempo off 17 that could fit a lot. Even if not serious and you want to drive over we could schedule something.

For sure! I actually work in Watsonville and am familiar with Scott Park. I’ve got a lot going on prior to Fathers Day but after that things settle down a bit. Are weekdays or weekends better for you? I work a rotating schedule so it’s not a m-f deal for me.
