Hello all,
I’m planning on heading up in that area this coming weekend.
Probably take a hike down to Jordan Hot spring.
Has anyone been there lately? If so, what is the water situation?
Thanks

I have done much backpacking in this area and done the Monache Jeep Road. Monache Meadows to Jordan Hot Springs is a pretty ambitious hike through Casa Viejo Meadow and along Nine Mile Creek. I have never seen Nine Mile Creek dry this time of year, but if it was, I would discourage you from descending to Jordan Hot Springs (2000' vertical from Casa Viejo). There are multiple springs feeding Nine Mile Creek. Best advice is to stop at Black Rock Ranger station before hitting the Monache Jeep Trail. The back country rangers can give you accurate advice about water / springs.
