image.jpeg A couple days away and getting excited! I picked this guy up last weekend and he'll be coming with me. Since I've never had a dog to camp with, I may be asking others with dogs for advice on the trail. For example; at 6 months old, how will his paws touch the pedals when I get tired and need him to drive? Without opposable thumbs how does he open the cooler to fetch my beer? So many questions...

The power shot of all the rigs around the monument is a must have! Also, does anyone plan on taking a USA flag to take place of the one on the monument? I know that get tattered quite quickly and so often large groups will bring an extra flag

Hey Everyone!

This is OB0000 Departure Schedule:

Thursday March 23rd, 2017
Meet: 6:00AM Starbucks in Livermore
Depart: 6:30AM Wheels Rolling

Departure Map: Starbucks in Livermore
That will probably put you in Barstow about 12:30 ~ 1:00PM.
We may try and cross paths with you there.

We'll have 5 or more trucks from So.Cal in our parade.

I think I'll plan to make a stop in Barstow regardless of what time we get there.

There's a convenient Walmart there.
- transition from I-15 to I-40
- take exit #1 on I-40, go south.
- Walmart parking lot

So are the groups going to be determined at the trail head?

I'm working on grouping people up, I have no set criteria, I think most will be at the trailhead around the same time, so I will have some structure and then we'll let it be a little organic from there. I believe from what I've read that some people will have preferences to who they run with, I am not going to try and manage those things.

I think this is one of those things that will solve itself and we may have some structure on Thursday night, provided y'alls beer doesn't kick in too early.

Fyi, I have plans to go to the dollar store tomorrow and snag up a bunch of glow sticks for the kids at night. Come find me if you want your kids to have one. I will confirm that I picked them up tomorrow. Glow sticks are great for locating your little ones when it's dark

I think the main thing is to try to ensure leads have Ham and GPS if possible, tails have some kind of radio.

@fj80toyman I'm presuming we should be aired down before the 10am meet time?

We're leaving Orange County 4-5p Thurs (ugh! for traffic through Corona/Riverside). We have a room at Avi - hoping to get there by 10p.

I have an extra pop-up poop house if anyone would like me to bring it (to borrow or purchase).

Probably cb or frs as well I guess, since most folks will be on those.

When we depart Friday's final meeting spot (off of Needles Hwy), we will be on dirt for 3 days, unless someone chooses to take the short trip down to Kelso Depot.

Airing down is your choice, but yes, be ready to go by departure time, whatever that means to you.

For anyone heading out from So cal I plan on being in cb channel 16 and frs 4 on the drive to Laughlin. I likely won't be monitoring ham as I am not licensed yet. If anyone is coming from So cal hit me up on cb 16 and frs 4 to chat as we drive.
