I'm probably in. Doesn't look like I'll have a work conflict. Plan to drive in the night before and stay at one of the hotels.

My friend is trying to work out the time off. He wants to bring his bad ass '73 Land Rover named Gonzo. Trying to get him to sign up on the forums. There's a tentative +1 rig with me. won't know for another day or two.

I used a lot of fuel when I ran the mojave in May, but I was also driving like Ivan Stewart. I will be bringing 10 extra gallons of fuel and thats just me being paranoid about running out of gas.

Oh man. You know I never would go too fast in the Nevada desert. Never.

I'll go order some rotopax... Maybe a trailer of them.

K5 Blazer? What year? Looking into something like that for the wife 96 Bronco or 91 Blazer. Post up some pics of that beast!

As a semi-reliable data point, when we pre-ran last month, there was a stock Tacoma with us that filled up at Avi Casino and had an extra 5 gallons in a can. The 5 gallons was the comfort margin, I think he probably didn't really need it, but it made us feel better that he did.
And, we did the trail in 4 days rather than 3 and did more miles/driving during that time.

There are locations to jump out and get gas such as Baker, but it's inconvenient.
If it adds that comfort factor, I would carry an extra amount.

hmmm.. I wonder if Avi has Diesel....
edit: Just called Avi. They Do have diesel. I'll bring some extra, but I usually get about 530 miles per tank on average type of driving.
