Mojave Road after Thanksgiving trip November 26-29 (ish)

Its time for my annual Mojave road run. Vehicle limit is 8.
I will Be leaving From Laughlin on Saturday November 26.
When I exit depends on the group. I have the whole week off and can stay until December 1 just screwing around seeing the sights.
This is not a "Marathon Run". This is a touristy see stuff run. For those who have never been on one of my trips, I zigzag outside of the road hitting points of interest and sometimes may see something new.

I have several areas along to camp. That means if we don't run on schedule, it doesn't matter.

Requirements.
1. First Aid kit
2. Radio, 2m or GMRS. Handheld fine but it would be nice if you had an outside antenna to go with it.
3. Fire extinguisher.
4 Full size spare. This includes the tools to change it.
5. Front and rear attachment points. Doubt they will be needed but you never know. I normally run this in 2wd except for one sand area.

This is just the basic's. I will be giving out GPS coords and more info to those who sign up.
This is also being posted on two other forums. If you want to go, let me know. If you want to go on reserve because your not sure. That's cool also.

Another day in paradise. Did almost 2 years and Austin but we are moving to LA in a few weeks and really looking forward to getting offroad on public lands again. You staying busy?

Yea, sort of. the summer was a bit too hot and my projects fell behind. gearing up again now.

What com’s are you running and do you need any route or POI stuff? I dot know if the route through Paiute is going to be open. If you don’t have the bypass route, I can send it to you.

We had plans to tour DV before Thanksgiving but so many closures has us moving to Mojave NP. We’ll be going west to East this year with plenty of exploring off the main road. Sounds like we may cross paths with you @BBOY777.

Sounds good. We will be leaving sometime Saturday morning with our first stop being Fort Piute. If you want I can send you my camp spots incase we end up in the same area camping. I haven't checked to see if its needed to use the bypass in Piute canyon since the washout.

We have 7 vehicles in our group. Arriving Sunday leaving Wednesday. I’m open to sharing camp spots on a private thread. I have a handful in mind for this trip and can trade waypoints.

I wish I could, and I appreciate the offer but I'm taking all of Thanksgiving week itself off, so I can't get those days at the start of the next week.

Awesome, I'll definitely take you up on that sometime. I'm trying to put something together for Mon-Wed before TDay, maybe Gold Butte. Have you explored out there? And yes, I'll be in Vegas for Thanksgiving.

Sorry, missed this. I'll add you in to the other conversation. I just posted the route. Being as were about a day apart, I'll listen for you on the radio and maybe hook up near the end of your trip.
