Mojave Preserve Update!
Overland Bound Executive Director Kent Reynolds and West Regional Director Bob Brann met with the acting Superintendent of Mojave Preserve about the upcoming OB trail cleanup along the Mojave Road and other sites in the preserve. They also discussed possible improvements to camping sites and restrooms in the preserve. The National Park Service (@nationalparkservice) shared their concern about the growth of 'informal and make shift' markers and monuments. The good news is that as of now - some of the frogs from the garden will remain in place along with other items such as the penny can and travelers monument, and the NPS had no plans to remove the mailbox and American Flag. The NPS looks forward to working more with the Overland Bound community on projects such as trail clean-ups and shared stewardship events! ⠀

We look forward to working directly with the NPS to get more people educated and involved in the stewardship of public lands. More details coming soon!
