I've never been to MOAB and the wife and I are looking at late September.

If you had 2-3 days to play in MOAB what would you hit? We will be heading from St. Louis, MO probably spend a day or two in CO and then on to Arches.

I don't mind a technical trail but remember I'm just 1 truck and the wife's anxiety will be higher than normal since we've never been there.

My wife and I will be in Moab from September 11th until the 13th. When we leave Moab on the 13th, we are heading for Ouray for a week. My wife has high anxiety too. She is already looking up all of the bad things that can happen on the trails. To try to help her get past it, I signed her up for an offroad driver training school on September 12th (Barlow Adventures). If it helps, it will be money well spent.

My wife has anxiety as well and she really enjoyed Moab. We didn’t do any off-roading since we were in an Rv that time but Arches and Canyonlands are spectacular. I can’t wait to go back. Enjoy.

There is a really nice drive at Arches that takes you out to the Klondike Bluffs. Then loops back around. On the way back down take a left, which will bring you back to Balanced Rock, or take a right which will bring you to a very interesting collection of dinosaur foot prints. This little 2 or 3 hour excursion will get your feet wet and you’ll want to do more and different the next day. get yourself a paper Nat Geo map of Arches NP. Better yet get the Moab East, and Moab West maps . Do you have camping reservations at Arches?

Thanks for the heads up.

Not yet, everything is booked we just have RMNP Timed entry so far. I'm sure we'll be figuring out how BLM camping works really quickly.
