The western portion was LOTS AND LOTS of long straight gravel roads cut between agricultural fields. It was a cool experience to see this part of the Midwest by gravel road but I made for a very long day of driving. The eastern side offered more winding roads and changes in elevation. Overall this section was maintained gravel roads, making for easy travel at relatively quicker speeds.
if you complete this section stop to eat at the LaCrosse Distillery in Wisconsin just gl beyond the ending of this Section then continue on to the southern portion of the Trans Wisconsin Adventure Trail.
